Diaspora London Music Village 2007 Hyde Park Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July 2007
Leading world musicians from all over London unite this summer for Cultural Co-operation's 2nd Diaspora London Music Village Festival

Festival Weekend - FREE ADMISSION

1-9pm each day - Early Arrival Recommended!!

The 2007 Diaspora London Music Village is the 23rd in the festival's history. It builds on the spectacular success of the Diaspora London Music Village in 2005, the first ever Music Village to focus exclusively on London's glittering spectrum of world musicians.

This year's line-up features over 80 London-based performers - some 20 groups and soloists in all - of African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American and East European descent. All are drawn from London: Diaspora Capital - Cultural Co-operation's expanding network of artists from the city's vibrant diaspora communities. Each of these talented ensembles offers unique insights into different world cultures - and into the fruits of cultural cross-fertilisation around the world over several centuries. Together, they make a compelling case for the immense value of inter-cultural contact, dialogue and understanding, both now and in the future.
