The Music Village Festival is Europe's longest running Festival of world culture. Initiated in 1983 in London, the festival has focussed on a wide range of subjects of topical interest. Some have concentrated on the living traditional cultures of particular geographic regions, others have addressed general worldwide themes, that transcend territorial boundaries as well as divisions of culture and faith.

The 23 Music Villages to date have featured over 3000 guest visiting and UK-based artists from over 80 countries and over a million people have attended.

The event offers a warm and welcoming setting for people of all ages and backgrounds, and is particularly popular with London's rich mix of national and faith communities.
