Cultural Co-operation's Education Programme
Cultural Co-operation's Education Programme works with young people, teachers and artists to celebrate cultural diversity and the arts.

Inspired by the basic premise that creativity and learning are key in helping us explore our diversity and common humanity, we work in a wide variety of cultural traditions and art forms including:

  • Music
  • Dance
  • Drama/Storytelling
  • Visual Arts

OUR CORE MISSION:

  • To celebrate and enhance understanding of cultural and religious diversity
  • To create opportunities for skills acquisition
  • To provide arts education and training for all levels of ability
  • To provide young people with enjoyable creative experiences that develop their innate creativity and confidence
  • To support teachers in their efforts to deliver the National Curriculum

Our activities include:

Music Village Schools' Programme

Workshops and matinee concerts for school groups in different art forms and cultural traditions at a partner museum. Concerts feature international artists who are participating in the Music Village festival. Cultural Co-operation also provides INSET sessions and Teacher's Packs for teachers.

This programme is only available during the Music Village festival. The next Music Village Schools Programme takes place in June/July 2006. Dates to be confirmed.

Year-Round Work in Schools

Artist residencies and workshops in schools emphasising cross-curricular links and learning through the arts.

Cultural Co-operation also provides INSET sessions and Teacher's Packs to accompany artist residencies in schools.
